Legal & regulatory information
Who we are, how funds are handled, and the regulatory framework behind the platform.
Template document (Draft 2026.1). This is a structured, versioned template. Final wording is subject to approval by the regulated banking/payment partner and qualified German legal counsel before production use.
Company & imprint
The operating legal entity, registered address, company registration and responsible contacts will be published here before production launch. LeilFinanz operates the customer platform, workflows and support services.
Regulated partner & custody of funds
Customer funds in a blocked account are held and safeguarded by a regulated banking or payment partner — not by LeilFinanz. The regulated partner is the authoritative source for your account’s legal status and balance. LeilFinanz displays this information with timestamps and never overrides the partner’s records. The identity of the regulated partner and the exact custody model are being finalised and will be disclosed here and in your agreements.
What LeilFinanz is and is not
- LeilFinanz is a technology platform. LeilFinanz is not a bank and does not provide banking services in its own name.
- LeilFinanz does not provide immigration or legal advice and does not make visa decisions.
- Insurance, loans, scholarships, admission and employment are provided by third-party providers and institutions under their own terms.
- LeilFinanz does not guarantee visa approval, admission, employment, loans or scholarships.
Compliance
The platform is designed to support identity verification (KYC), anti-money-laundering (AML) obligations, sanctions and PEP screening, and record-keeping, carried out with our regulated partners. Confidential compliance reasoning is never disclosed to customers.
Data protection
We process personal data in line with the GDPR and our privacy notice. Controller/processor roles are mapped per partner.
Complaints
If something goes wrong, our complaints procedure explains how to raise it and what to expect. The competent ombudsman/authority route will be confirmed with the regulated partner.
